Ofsted Praise for All Saints Marsh C of E Academy.
The staff and children at All Saints Marsh C of E Academy are celebrating the results of their recent Ofsted report, which officially recognises All Saints Marsh as being a GOOD school across all inspection areas.
The report recognises and highlights the many excellent features of the academy, and in particular how since becoming an academy and joining the Learning Academy Partnership in 2015, has had a swift impact on improving the standards of education for the children of All Saints Marsh C of E Academy. The report recognises and builds upon the recognition that since joining the Learning Academy partnership, pupil achievement soared, and All Saints Marsh became one of the top performing schools across the country at the end of 2017.
One of the key strengths highlighted throughout the report was the happy learning environment and the rich curriculum, which starts in reception and continues throughout the academy.
‘Children make good progress in the early years. They are stimulated by the rich learning environment and respond to it well. There is a clear focus on reading. This ensures that children get off to a good start when they join Key Stage 1.’
‘Teaching is particularly strong in Key Stage 2, especially in Years 5 and 6, and pupils are making very rapid progress in mathematics and reading.’
‘The level of support provided by the trust has been instrumental in helping the school to move forward. This includes support with the training and coaching of staff to continue to strengthen teaching and learning.’
Children across the academy are now making strong progress and gain a breadth of knowledge and skills through a range of exciting topics, and leaders have successfully built an environment in which the children and adults can flourish.
Miss Garside, Head of Academy, said “We are proud that this report recognises the hard work of both the children and staff in the academy and across our partnership. I am particularly proud of our amazing children, who every day engage wholeheartedly in their learning in such a positive manner.”
“The Inspector noted that the children’s behaviour is always polite, orderly, happy and friendly and they offer a warm welcome to all visitors. They are thoughtful and go out of their way to ensure that visitors are included as a part of their academy community.”
“We are delighted that not only the academic success of the children has been recognised, but also their success in becoming good citizens.”
Mrs Atkinson, Chief Executive of the Learning Academy Partnership said: “This report recognises the excellent quality of provision that All Saints Marsh C of E Academy now continues to provide. This is testament to the exceptional leaders, staff and children at the academy and the support from parents, leaders and teachers from across the family of schools within the Trust; all working together for the benefit of every child at All Saints Marsh. We are thrilled that All Saints Marsh is now celebrated as a Good and high achieving school and that this report fully recognises the hard work and commitment of that team.
All Saints Marsh really is a gem of a school and is well placed to continue to go from strength to strength in the future.”
The Learning Academy Partnership is a values-led family of exceptional schools. The schools work together within a multi-academy trust, currently consisting of 8 primary schools and All Saints Teaching School Alliance, working together to support school improvement across the South West. The Learning Academy Partnership are due to open a brand new school in Paignton and is extending its partnership provision for pupils aged 2-19 with a secondary school due to join the Trust in the new academic year.
